Jolly
Being nature inspired, I paint wildlife animals that are commonly seen in the North Georgia area. I wanted to create a portrait of a black bear with a cheerful look while keeping the background natural as a nod to wild animals when they are in their element. Maybe this bear is thinking about an upcoming nap or eating some berries. Either way, it looks content!
This painting was done in oil on wood and finished with a matte varnish and a black wooden frame (10x8” canvas).
