Birds of prey are stunning to me and I am often inspired to paint them. Peregrine falcons are just one of those birds- they are incredibly fast, have exceptional eyesight, and can be found in Georgia. I started with the eye on this piece as I wanted it to be the focal point of this beautiful bird.

Being nature inspired, I paint wildlife animals that are commonly seen in the North Georgia area. I wanted to create a portrait of a raccoon with a playful yet innocent look while keeping the background natural as a nod to wild animals when they are in their element. This raccoon might be up to no good, but it’s cute either way.
